The Federation of Solo Parents Concepcion Chapter celebrated its 1st Solo Parents Day on June 20, 2023, at the Covered Gym.
It was a joint celebration with the ERPAT sector which celebrated Father's Day.
The celebration was funded by the local government unit under the mayorship of Milliard S. Villanueva. The Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office under Mary A. Depalubos, MSWD Officer supervised the activity.
It was participated by 25 barangays – both from the island and mainland.
Present at the celebration were Vice Mayor Jovelyn Estrada and the three resource speakers namely Mr. Jose Carlito Camen, Medical Social Welfare Officer of the Pototan Mental Health Unit; Ma. Christine Roa, Focal Person-Provincial Solo Parents Federation; and Caroline Pulmones, Focal Person-Provincial ERPAT Sector of the PSWDO.
Part of the program was the showcase of the talents of both sectors. It was a fun-filled day.
