SERBISYO SANG GOBYERNO PARA SA MGA ILONGGO

Thousands of Ilonggos accessed vital government services during the Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Tapat Para sa Lahat event held today at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.

An initiative of the Office of the President, Handog ng Pangulo promotes responsive, inclusive, and people-centered governance.

By strengthening collaboration between national government agencies (NGAs) and local government units (LGUs), the program brings essential government services, programs, and assistance directly to the Filipino people.

Various regional line agencies assembled at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Complex to deliver essential services closer to the Ilonggos.

The event was also held in line with the celebration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s birthday on September 13.

Department of Energy Secretary Sharon Garin, a native Ilongga, delivered the message on behalf of the president.

Secretary Garin highlighted that a total of P2.83 billion worth of government services were availed by Filipinos nationwide through the Handog ng Pangulo program.

Of this amount, P568.72 million in government assistance and projects benefited the province of Iloilo.

Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. expressed his gratitude to President Marcos for his administration's continued support for Iloilo.

“Alam namin na hindi kami pinapabayaan ng Presidente, and we are being prioritized here in Iloilo,” Defensor stated, assuring the public that the provincial government's programs and projects remain fully aligned with the Bagong Pilipinas framework.

During the program, local leaders, regional directors, and attendees extended their birthday greetings to President Marcos in a segment broadcast live via Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM).
