PCPC AND PCAT VAWC HOLD 3RD QUARTER JOINT MEETING

The Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC), the Provincial Committee on Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Violence Against Women and Children (PICAT-VAWC) together with various member agencies held its 3rd Quarter Joint meeting at Gold Berry Hotel today, September 19, 2024.

The agenda of the joint meeting includes the following:

• Updates on HEEADSSSS Assessment, an internationally recognized method used to build up an evaluation of an Adolescent Patient encompassing Home, Education, Employment, Activities, Drugs, Sex and Relationships, Self-Harm/Depression, and Safety.
• One Stop Referral System.
• Presentation of the Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC 2023) Performance and Functionality in terms of coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 and Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
• Presentation of Executive Order 92 for the adoption of the Provincial Council the main objective of which is to strengthen the government program against child labour and provide universal and transformative protection to all families and their children.

The PCPC and the PCAT-VAWC quarterly meetings are being held to continuously capacitate its members and stakeholders in the fight against abuse and violence. They also aim to strengthen its organizational responsiveness and necessary service for the protection of women and children.
