Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. administered the oath of office to Mr. Alain Russ Dimzon as Part-time Commissioner representing the Hiligaynon Language in the Commission on the Filipino Language, succeeding Jesus C. Insilada.
President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. signed Dimzon’s appointment on December 2, 2025, with his term set to expire on January 6, 2027.
Dimzon, a multi-awarded poet, fictionist, and lyricist, currently serves at the Iloilo Provincial Government under the Provincial Administrator’s Office.
He was also appointed to the same position in 2019 during the time of President Rodrigo Duterte.
