ILOILO PROVINCE BRINGS ESSENTIAL SERVICES CLOSER TO LEGANES BARANGAYS

The Iloilo Provincial Government, through the Public Information and Community Affairs Office (PICAO), conducted today the Hinun-anon sa Barangay in Leganes, engaging residents and barangay officials from Napnud, Nabitasan, and Gua-an in a dialogue on vital government programs and services.

Representatives from key provincial offices provided insights into various support initiatives.

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) outlined assistance available for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Senior Citizens, Solo Parents, and individuals in crisis under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis (AICS) program.

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) underscored the importance of dengue prevention through the 4S strategy - Search and destroy mosquito breeding sites, Secure self-protection measures, Seek early consultation, and Support fogging only in hotspot areas.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO) introduced agricultural programs designed to boost farmers' productivity and ensure food security.

Barangay officials and residents expressed their appreciation for the initiative, which brings the provincial government closer to the grassroots, ensuring that essential services reach those who need them most.

The Hinun-anon sa Barangay program continues to strengthen community engagement by directly cascading government programs and services to barangays across the province.
