1,700 daycare workers across Iloilo Province currently attend the Provincial Annual Convention for Daycare Workers organized by the Iloilo Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) at the Grand Hotel in Iloilo City on June 10-11, 2024.

Themed "𝐵𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐵𝑟𝑖𝑑𝑔𝑒𝑠, 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐿𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑠: 𝐻𝑜𝑛𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑖𝑡𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝐶ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑑 𝐷𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑝𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑒𝑟𝑠", the convention aimed to capacitate daycare workers on the System for Prevention, Early Identification, Referral, and Intervention of Delays, Disorders, and Disabilities in Early Childhood (PEIRDDDEC) and on ethics and professional boundaries in early childhood care and development, as well as on child psychology.

Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. graced the activity on the first day and administered the oath of office for the newly elected officers.
