Today, Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. turned over a total of P20.7 million financial assistances to 8 barangays to fund the construction and upgrade of their vital infrastructure projects.
The recipient barangays are:
▫️ Barangay Tumay, Mina – P3.4 million (for the construction of multi-purpose hall)
▫️ Barangay Tuy-an East, Maasin – P3.6 million (for the construction of the barangay multi-purpose hall)
▫️ Barangay Mandog, Maasin – P1 million (for the construction of the multi-purpose building benches)
▫️ Barangay Tagbac Sur, Oton – P5 million (for the construction of multi-purpose covered gym)
▫️ Barangay Poblacion, San Rafael – P2 million (for the purchase of 1,000 square meter lot)
▫️ Barangay Yawyawan, Lemery – P1.2 million (for the rehabilitation of overflow)
▫️ Barangay Bagay, Igbaras – P1.6 million (for the construction of slope protection
▫️ Barangay Bagumbayan, Miagao - P2.9 million (for the construction of new multi-purpose hall)
The assistance was received by the barangay captains. SB Hope Mondejar and Executive Assistance John Mondejar joined in receiving the checks for the Maasin recipients.
