The Provincial Health Office witnessed the inauguration and blessing of the Asia Hansen Partner Multi-Purpose Health Center in Barangay Cabatangan, Lambunao, Iloilo on August 27, 2024.
This facility project was made possible through the generous support of Asia Hansen Partner led by Dr. Cho Yeoungil (Director), ITTM with Rev. Dr. Hyun Okchul (Director), and Sungkyul Global Ministry, Inc. with Rev. Jeon Meongkyeun (Director), along with key Korean supporters.
Despite a recent rebel encounter in the area, the event proceeded smoothly thanks to the unwavering commitment of our Korean partners and the dedicated staff of the Lambunao RHU, including Dr. Angelo Garbino and recently retired Municipal Health Officer Dr. Mercedes Ballarta. The activities successfully catered to over 100 residents, particularly those affected by leprosy.
PHO also conducted a medical consultation and distribution of goods accompanied by logistics activity in commemoration of the National Leprosy Control Program.
