The Provincial Nutrition Council Technical Working Group (PNC-TWG) convened for its first quarter meeting on February 19, 2025 as part of the formulation of the Local Nutrition Action Plan 2026-2028 of the province of Iloilo.
Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Dr. Wendel Tupas Marcelo said the meeting aims to finalize the nutrition-specific programs, projects, and activities of the concerned departments to be integrated in the three-year plan.
“We want to align with the priority and thrust and the outcome result areas of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition 2026-2028. And of course, with our local priorities under the MoRProGRes Iloilo social justice agenda of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr.,” Dr. Tupas said.
The PNC-TWG also received assistance from the Iloilo Provincial Planning and Development Office in crafting nutrition-related infrastructure projects for possible funding through the Annual Investment Program (AIP) of the provincial government for 2026.
