In pursuit of harmonious and collaborative water conservation and management efforts towards water governance, the Iloilo Province Water Security Group convened to level off sectoral progress on action planning for the preparation of the Iloilo Province Water Security Plan on May 28, 2025 at Days Hotel by Wyndham Iloilo.
The morning session featured the presentation of the water security plan concept and reporting of sectoral progress by each member. In the afternoon session, the body deliberated on the timeline, assigned outputs and deliverables, and synthesis of sectoral next steps.
This collaboration was organized by the Catholic Relief Services-Iloilo Resilient Water Initiatives (CRS-IWARI) together with the Iloilo Provincial Water Security Group, comprising PGENRO, PHO, PDRRMO, OPA, PPDO, and PEO. Also present and engaging were representatives from DENR-EMB VI, DENR-PENRO Iloilo, NIA, DEPDev, and DPWH.
This collaborative approach underscores the commitment to effective water governance and security in Iloilo Province.
