Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. assisted in the distribution of financial assistance to the residents of the city and province of Iloilo on August 21, 2024, at the Iloilo Sports Complex.

A total of 7,500 residents from Iloilo City and the municipalities of Leganes, Pavia, Santa Barbara, San Miguel, and Zarraga in the second district received the assistance.

The event was facilitated by Uswag Ilonggo Partylist and Las Piñas Lone District Rep. Camille Villar. It was graced by Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos and Philippine National Police Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil.
