E CLIP ASSISTANCE FOR EX REBELS

Eight former rebels received ₱65,000 each as immediate and livelihood assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), in cooperation with the Philippine Army, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), and the Iloilo Provincial Government.

The distribution of financial assistance was led by DILG Provincial Director Dino Ponsaran, Major Jason Chris Sabandal of the 61st Infantry Battalion, Atty. Mar Anthony Balani of DILG, Capt. John Bethoven Malana of the 82nd Infantry Battalion, PLt. Col. Engilbert Banquillo of the IPPO, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Acting Chief Rani Melvi Cuarte, Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Dennis Ventilacion, and Pastor Saldivar Del Rio.

One E-CLIP beneficiary was unable to attend the distribution, while two checks amounting to ₱63,000 and ₱42,000 were also released to Army representatives for the reintegration of four other former rebels.
