Jimanban Festival gave spectators at the Iloilo Sports Complex a glimpse of the town’s history as it honors New Lucena’s former name.
Jimanban stemmed from the local term “nagapanghimanban” which means “to clear the land for planting.” It is a vibrant reminder of the town’s agricultural roots and its journey from a small settlement to a flourishing municipality.
