Cooperatives across Iloilo are expected to enhance the way they run their meetings after the Office of the Provincial Cooperative Development Officer (OPCDO) conducted a two-day training on parliamentary procedure for cooperative officers and management staff.
The activity focused on strengthening democratic leadership and improving governance practices within cooperatives. Participants were trained on meeting management, voting procedures, handling motions, rules of debate, and proper decision-making processes aimed at ensuring orderly and participatory meetings in their organizations.
Through workshops, role-playing activities, demonstrations, and group discussions, participants gained hands-on experience in applying parliamentary procedures in actual meeting scenarios.
OPCDO said the training forms part of their Office’s efforts to strengthen cooperative leadership and promote accountability, transparency, and participatory governance among cooperatives in the Province of Iloilo.
