The Province of Iloilo through the Provincial Legislative Awards Committee (PLAC) headed by Vice Governor Christine "Tingting" S. Garin, Chairperson of the Committee, led the Awarding Ceremony of the Search for the Most Outstanding Sanggunian at Grand Xing Imperial Hotel, Iloilo City on April 12, 2024 as part of the 123rd Semana sang Iloilo celebration.

The Awarding Ceremony was attended by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) VI Assistant Regional Director Maria Calpiza J. Sardua, on behalf of Regional Director Juan Jovian E. Engeniero, DILG Provincial Director Engr. Carmelo F. Orbista, Board Members, Mayors, Vice Mayors, Sangguniang Bayan and Panlungsod Members, Sangguniang Bayan and Panlungsod Secretaries, PLAC Members, Validators and Guests.

The following are the Awardees for the Search for the Most Outstanding Sanggunian in the Province of Iloilo for Calendar Year 2023.

Category A (Component City, 1st Class and 2nd Class Municipality) 

Champion- Municipality of Tigbauan, Iloilo with a cash prize of PHP 100,000
1st Runner-up- Municipality of Pavia, Iloilo with a cash prize of PHP 75,000
2nd Runner-up - Municipality of Oton, Iloilo with a cash prize of PHP 50,000
3rd Runner-up- City of Passi, Iloilo with a cash prize of PHP 25,000

Category B (3rd Class to 6th Class Municipality)

Champion- Municipality of New Lucena, Iloilo with a cash prize of PHP 100,000
1st Runner-up- Municipality of Tubungan, Iloilo with a cash prize of PHP 75,000
2nd Runner-up- Municipality of San Miguel, Iloilo with a cash prize of PHP 50,000
3rd Runner-up- Municipality of Guimbal, Iloilo with a cash prize of PHP 25,000
