The Iloilo Provincial Population Office recognized the local government units for their best practices and innovations in providing quality data which aid the government, the academe and other stakeholders in policy-making.
Data banking and management is a procedural task involving the effective acquisition, filing, securing, processing and overall management of population data.
The winners were awarded during the 2024 Barangay Service Point Officers Congress on Nov. 18, 2024 at the Iloilo Convention Center.
The municipality of Zarraga was named the Best-Managed Population Data Bank Champion. The municipalities of Tigbauan and Santa Barbara placed second and third, respectively.
PPO Chief Atty. Ruel Von Superio said that the Congress is a celebration of the dedication, perseverance, and the commitment that each BSPO contributes to public service.
“Ang ini nga adlaw, para ini sa aton mga dedikado kag mapisan nga mga BSPOs – you are a pillar of strength, compassion, and leadership in your respective barangays. Kay ang inyo gina obra sa pagtipon, pagtatap kag pag-update sang mga datus naga-balik ang kapuslanan kag kaayuhan sa aton barangay,” Superio said.
