Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. is seeking for reelection for his third and final term. He filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) today along with his running mate for vice governor, Anilao Mayor Lee Ann Debuque, under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) which is the political party of Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Governor Defensor was accompanied by his family – his father and former governor Arthur Defensor Sr. and his mother Cosette Defensor.
Defensor hopes to retain his spot and complete his term until 2025. He was elected as governor of Iloilo in 2019 and continued serving the province for his second term in 2022.
