The Iloilo Provincial Government, through the Iloilo Provincial Population Office, turned over today ₱3.5 million to two public high schools for the construction of Teen Centers.
The funding support was formally handed over today by Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. to Cayos National High School in Dumangas and Zarraga National High School, making them the latest beneficiaries of the Capitol’s continuing investment in youth-focused infrastructure.
Governor Defensor consistently champions adolescent health and youth empowerment as part of his administration’s human development agenda under MoRProGRes Iloilo.
The ₱3.5 million fund will cover the construction and equipping of both centers with basic amenities, including consultation rooms, discussion areas, and audio-visual tools for information and education campaigns.
The construction of teen centers is part of the Iloilo Provincial Government’s comprehensive strategy to support young Ilonggos in navigating adolescence with confidence, correct information, and community support.
