LOOK: Local farmers and fisherfolk in Mina, Iloilo took part in an Orientation and Hands-on Demonstration on Fishery Product Value Addition held last March 27, 2025, at Montogawe Eco Park, Brgy. Bangac, Mina.

This activity is organized by the Iloilo Provincial Agriculture Office – Fisheries Division, in collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Mina.

The activity aimed to equip participants with practical skills in postharvest fishery processing. Participants learned how to transform fresh catch into value-added products such as Tilanggit (Tilapiang Danggit) or dried tilapia—boosting income potential while minimizing waste.

Through programs like this, the Iloilo Provincial Government continues to uplift and empower its farmers and fisherfolk, making them more resilient and ready for the growing fisheries industry.
