The Iloilo Provincial Government welcomed the newly crowned Pintaflores Cup 2025 champions, Sta. Barbara FC, to the Iloilo Provincial Capitol today, awarding the young athletes and coaches P30,000 in incentives in recognition of their outstanding performance and the pride they continue to bring to the province.
Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias personally received the team on behalf of the provincial government. He congratulated the players, coaches, and support staff, emphasizing how their hard work and discipline continue to elevate Iloilo’s reputation in national youth football.
The Sta. Barbara Under-16 Football Club delivered a commanding 4–0 victory against host team San Carlos City during the finals held at the San Carlos City Football Field in Negros Occidental.
The incentive, granted by the office of Governor Arthur R. Defensor Jr., highlights the provincial government’s dedication to uplifting young Ilonggo athletes and providing concrete support that fuels their growth, confidence, and opportunities.
Team Captain Jomarelle Alemane expressed the team’s gratitude, noting the motivation the incentive provides in their upcoming competitions.
“Nagapasalamat kami sa Iloilo Provincial Government especially kay Gov. Defensor sa iya all-out support sa amon team kag sa incentive nga ginhatag sa amon.
Mas nagahatag pa ini inspirasyon nga dag-on namon ang mga sunod nga hamapang,” Alemane said.
