Gov. Defensor, Et. Al., Conferred As Army Reservists

GOV DEFENSOR ET AL CONFERRED AS ARMY RESERVISTS

Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr., together with Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, Provincial Population Office Head Atty. Ruel Von Superio, Atty. Artem Ron Raymundo, Charles Lemeric, Leobert Pinuela, and Gerry Mae Alcoriza, received their Orders and Certificates of Completion for the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) from the Reserve Command of the Philippine Army during this morning’s flag-raising ceremony.

The awarding was led by Col. Edralin Poblete of the Artillery, General Staff Corps, assisted by Col. Michael Asuncion of the Corps of Engineers, General Staff Corps, officially conferring upon them the status of Army reservists.

Army reservists in the Philippines serve as a vital support force for national defense, disaster response, and community resilience. They are citizen-soldiers who augment the regular Armed Forces during emergencies, calamities, and times of war, while also contributing to peace, order, and nation-building.

This move aligns with Gov. Defensor’s Executive Order No. 111 instituting the Provincial Community Defense Action for MoRProGRes Iloilo – Kapayapaan, Kaayusan at Katatagan Tungo sa Kaunlaran ng Bagong Pilipinas, also known as 4K for MoRProGRes.
