PYAP ILOILO PARTICIPATES IN LIFE SKILLS TRAINING FOR OUT OF SCHOOL YOUTH

The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) Iloilo Province participated in a three-day Training of Trainers (TOT) on Life Skills Enhancement for Out-of-School Youth (OSY) held on September 23–25, 2026 at Citadines Amigo, Iloilo City.

The training was conducted by the Office of the President through the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD FO VI).

Representing PYAP Iloilo Province were its Provincial Focal Person for Youth and seven OSY/PYAP members from different municipalities in Iloilo.

The training focused on practical life skills, including communication, facilitation, decision-making, assertion, personal skills, and self-esteem.

Through the training, participants gained knowledge and skills that they can share with their fellow youth through their respective PYAP chapters and communities.

The initiative aims to strengthen peer support, promote life skills development, and empower out-of-school youth in Iloilo Province.
