The Public Information and Community Affairs Office (PICAO) convened the designated department information officers on June 24, 2026 to strengthen the promotion of the programs and projects of the Iloilo provincial government.
PICAO Chief Jose Nereo Lujan emphasized that these information officers serve as crucial "force multipliers" in relaying the activities and initiatives of various Capitol departments to the public.
Part of the meeting is the Technical Needs Assessment to guide PICAO in designing training programs tailored to sharpen the IO’s communication skills.
PICAO maintains a pool of information officers in every Capitol department to fulfill its core mandate of delivering timely, accurate, and relevant information to the Ilonggos.
