To further enhance their knowledge of information dissemination and public relations, the personnel of the Public Information and Community Affairs Office conducted a learning exchange activity with the Public Information Office of the Province of Capiz and the Roxas City Communications Group (RCCG) on December 12-13, 2023.
The PICAO personnel were warmly welcomed by Provincial Administrator Atty. Arthur John Biñas on behalf of Gov. Frednil Castro and PIO Chief/HRMO concurrent head Atty. Luvim Amores during its visit to the Capiz Provincial Capitol on December 12.
The activity served as a venue to exchange ideas and best practices on communication strategies and community engagement between the two provincial offices.
It also allowed PICAO to gain insights into the internal processes and workflows of the Capiz Provincial Government which just recently received an ISO 9001-2015 Certification. PIO personnel Lucca Vestidas gave the Iloilo group a tour of the different offices at the Capiz Provincial Capitol.
On December 13, PICAO paid a visit to the Roxas City Communications Group and they were welcomed by its chief Melvin Galgate. The RCCG shared its best practices on social media management and how to streamline information flow.
The two-day learning visit served as a platform for meaningful interaction on how information is gathered, processed, and disseminated to the public.
