The Provincial Government of Iloilo, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO Province Of Iloilo), recently conducted an orientation for the latest batch of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) scholars for the academic year 2024-2025.
A total of 40 scholars from various parts of the province (1st Dis.--7 students, 2nd Dis. --7; 3rd Dis.--10; 4th Dis.--8, 5th Dis.--8) enrolled in the different state universities and colleges in Iloilo signed their scholarship contracts witnessed by their parents.
The scholars were provided with an overview of the program’s objectives and the opportunities available as they pursue their education.
The orientation aimed to prepare the students for the responsibilities of the scholarship and reinforce the province’s dedication to inclusive education and equal opportunities for all sectors of society.
The activity was led by Acting PSWDO Head Rani Cuarte with PWD Scholars Focal Person and Technical Assistance Division Chief Rara Ganzon.
