The Iloilo Provincial Government, through the Public Information and Community Affairs Office, hosted the first quarter meeting of the Iloilo-Guimaras Information Officers' Association on February 14, 2024, at the Casa Real de Iloilo Function Room A.
The meeting was organized by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA Iloilo) and was presided over by IGIOA president Ms. Lucy Sinay who is also the chief of the Iloilo City Public Information Office.
Some of the topics discussed include the IGIOA proposed activities for 2024 as well as the linkage of barangay information officers.
PIA also invited PhilHealth Public Affairs Unit head Janimhe Jalbuna to discuss the adjusted coverage rates for benefit packages starting this 2024.
The meeting coincided with National Health Insurance Month and the 29th anniversary of PhilHealth which is celebrated every February 14th.
