CAPITOL TO RELEASE CASH INCENTIVES FOR BRGY VOLUNTEERS DEC 12 TO 16

The Iloilo provincial government will start releasing cash incentives to its more than 14,000 barangay volunteer workers on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022.

Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. allotted PhP 58,944,000 for the annual cash incentives of the volunteers composed of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs), Day Care Workers (DCWs) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS).

The cash incentive of PhP 4,000 each is given to the volunteers annually in recognition of their help in the implementation of the provincial government’s programs and projects on health, social welfare, population, and nutrition management, among others.

Gov. Defensor said the cash incentive is just a small amount but it could make the volunteers and their families happy this Christmas season.

“This is our way of acknowledging your voluntary service and your important role in the success of our programs and projects,” Defensor said.

Personnel from the Provincial Treasurer’s Office will distribute the cash incentives to the designated payments centers in every district so the volunteers won’t experience the hassle of going to the Provincial Capitol to get their cash.

Volunteers from the first district towns of Guimbal, Igbaras, Miagao, Oton, Tigbauan, Tubungan, and San Joaquin will get their cash incentive at Guimbal on Monday, Dec. 12.

Second district volunteers will get their cash incentive on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at San Miguel for Alimodian, Leon, and San Miguel volunteers; and New Lucena for Leganes, New Lucena, Pavia, Sta. Barbara and Zarraga volunteers.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Fifth District volunteers will get their cash incentive at Balasan for Balasan, Batad, Carles, Estancia, and San Dionisio volunteers; and Barotac Viejo for Ajuy, Barotac Viejo, Concepcion, Lemery, San Rafael, and Sara volunteers.

Fourth District volunteers will get theirs on Thursday, Dec. 15, at Barotac Nuevo for Anilao, Banate, Barotac Nuevo, and Dumangas volunteers; and Passi City for Dingle, Dueñas, Passi City, and San Enrique volunteers.

And, on Friday, Dec. 16, volunteers from the Third District towns of Badiangan, Bingawan, Cabatuan, Calinog, Janiuay, Lambunao, Maasin, Mina, and Pototan will get their cash incentive at Janiuay.
