The Chiefs of Office and Chiefs of Hospital convened today for a comprehensive mid-year assessment of the provincial government’s program implementation and to address critical operational bottlenecks.
The agenda include the utilization review of the P1.2 billion general fund and P300 million Special Education Fund to ensure that the programs and projects align with the development thrusts of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. under his MoRProGRes Iloilo social justice agenda.
The session was also dedicated to identifying bureaucratic hurdles resulting in delayed project execution.
Also part of the agenda is an update on hospital infrastructure projects as well as programs for tourism and environment.
There will also be an update on the provincial government’s standings and compliance to the metrics in the Seal of Good Local Governance Award of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
Today’s chief of office meeting is being presided over by Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias who is also the and OIC-Governor in light of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr’s official travel.
