Benguet Links Up With Iloilo For Public Information Benchmarking

BENGUET LINKS UP WITH ILOILO FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION BENCHMARKING

The Provincial Government of Benguet visited the Iloilo Provincial Capitol on Tuesday to benchmark information dissemination and community affairs best practices.

The delegation was led by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Information and Communications Technology and Science and Technology composed of Board Members Lady Charmaine Molintas-Likigan, Ruben Tinda-an, and Meica Cayat.

Vice Governor Lee Ann Debuque warmly welcomed the delegation on behalf of Gov.Arthur Defensor Jr.

The study visit aimed to gather insights for Benguet's upcoming Public Information Office Ordinance and the creation of its Public Information Officer position.

During the visit, the Iloilo Public Information and Community Affairs Office (PICAO) briefed the guests on the operational structure and major services.

Also joining the knowledge sharing activity are the 2026 Boy and Girl Officials of the Province - Governor Roniel John R. Figeroa of Alimodian National Comprehensive High School and Vice Governor Pia B. Ladrillo of Barotac Viejo National High School.

The Benguet delegates concluded their itinerary with a guided tour of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol and a visit to the National Museum of the Philippines – Iloilo.
