The Public Information and Community Affairs Office (PICAO) in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency Iloilo is conducting the Barangay Information Officers Edu-Cademy Cybersecurity Awareness Training today at District 21 Hotel, Iloilo City.
It was attended by barangay information officers from the towns of Igbaras, Tigbauan, Tubungan, New Lucena, Pototan, Banate, Passi City, and San Enrique.
This initiative is aimed at strengthening the role of grassroots communication frontliners by capacitating them against the proliferation of misinformation and the rising cybersecurity threats.
The activity also highlights the different programs of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. under his “Movement for a Robust, Progressive, Globally Competitive, and Resilient (MoRPRoGRes) Province of Iloilo.”
