Provincial Population Officer Atty. Ruel Von Superio, together with his Division Chiefs, formally turned over copies of the 2024 Basic Population Profile of the Province of Iloilo to Vice Governor Nathalie Ann Debuque and the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan prior to the start of their regular session this afternoon.
The Basic Population Profile is an annual publication of the Office of the Provincial Population Officer, containing relevant demographic and population-related data from the province’s 42 municipalities and one component city.
These data serve as vital inputs for program development, policy formulation, and research undertakings as it provides accurate and updated baseline information to ensure that government programs and services remain effective and responsive to the needs of communities.
The compilation was made possible through the dedicated efforts of PPO personnel and Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs).
Atty. Superio expressed his gratitude to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for their continued support and conveyed his hope that the Basic Population Profile will prove useful in their legislative work.
