ILOILO PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT SHARES UPDATES ON SMART GREEN GOVERNMENT CENTER

Various department heads presented the latest updates on the proposed Smart Green Government Center in Santa Barbara to the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Iloilo and Vice Governor Lee Ann Debuque during a status update held at Casa Real de Iloilo.

The presentation covered the project's plans, current progress, and the next phases of development. The proposed government center aims to bring provincial government offices together in one modern and sustainable complex to improve the delivery of public services.

The initial phase of the project covers the construction of Building I and site development, which is currently being implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The project is funded under the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA) with a total budget of ₱100 million, including ₱60 million for Building I and ₱40 million for the access road.

The expansion of Building I and additional site development will be implemented by the Province through the Local Government Support Fund–Financial Assistance to Local Government Unit (LGSF-FALGU), with a total budget of ₱250 million. The funding includes ₱100 million for the expansion of Building I, ₱115 million for the access road, and ₱35 million for the construction of a bridge.

The implementation of the LGSF-FALGU-funded projects will begin after the completion of the ongoing DPWH project.
