Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. turned over today checks totaling to P5.5 million for the construction and improvement of water systems in two barangays in the municipality of Cabatuan.
A financial assistance worth P3 million was received by Punong Barangay Septer Lusaya for the construction of the water system of Barangay Jelicuon Lusaya.
Punong Barangay Melicio Mainar Jr. received the check worth P2.5 million for the improvement of their water system.
Under its Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program, the provincial government ensures that Ilonggos have access to safe and potable water.
