PSWDO WVSU COC EYE PARTNERSHIP TO BOOST CAMPUS MENTAL HEALTH

The Iloilo Provincial Government is expanding its mental health advocacy to higher education as the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) opened discussions with the West Visayas State University College of Communications (WVSU-COC) for a potential partnership aimed at strengthening mental health awareness and support among students.

The dialogue explored how PRIME can complement the university's existing mental health efforts by providing technical support, advocacy, and access to psychosocial services.

The proposed collaboration seeks to make mental health services and information more accessible to students through awareness campaigns, community engagement, and responsible digital communication.

By leveraging the expertise of the WVSU-COC, the partnership aims to foster a more responsive, informed, and mentally healthy academic community where students are encouraged to seek help without fear of stigma.

The Iloilo Provincial Government continues to encourage Ilonggos to look after one another and seek help when needed.
