The Iloilo Provincial Health Office conducted a Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS) Surveillance and Measles-Rubella Cases and Outbreak Response orientation on May 26, 2026 at the St. Clement’s Jubilee Hall.
The activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge and capacities of healthcare workers in surveillance, prevention, and response to measles-rubella cases and outbreaks, as well as the detection and reporting of Congenital Rubella Syndrome.
Resource speakers included Mr. Neel Alcayaga, Nurse V of the Department of Health (DOH), who discussed the Guidelines on Measles Outbreak Response, and Mr. Wilfred Eledia, Assistant Surveillance Officer of the DOH, who presented the topic on Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS).
