We warmly welcomed Kim, Harman, and Kenneth, students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Youth Expedition Program, who arrived in Iloilo last Tuesday for a "Recce visit."
The team paid a courtesy call on Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. to prepare for their second community engagement scheduled for next summer.
Following the success of the first batch earlier this year - where "Operation Orion" hosted by the Municipality of Maasin constructed a water system for Layog Elementary School entirely through student funding - we are excited to continue this impactful partnership.
For this upcoming engagement, the Provincial Government is proposing the Municipality of Cabatuan, under the leadership of Mayor Dr. Boboy Pueyo, as the next host town.
Governor Defensor is committed to deepening this international relationship, not just for community development, but to foster a meaningful exchange of ideas and best practices with a first-world country.
