The Iloilo Provincial Solid Waste Management Board (PSWMB) members convened for their 2nd quarter meeting on June 20, 2025.
The meeting commenced with a call to order, followed by the reading of the previous minutes and approval of the agenda.
The first agenda item, the consolidated data of 2025 Limpyo Eleksyon Operation Baklas (Executive Order No. 42 series of 2025) was presented by 4th district SWM Coordinator Rosa May B. Valle.
Updates on the 10-Year Plan for Local Government Units (LGUs) were provided by Brian Kent Lorca and Sherwin Ivler, DENR EMB VI representatives.
Shenna Mae R. Cambel, 5th District SWM Coordinator, then presented the highlights of #LimpyoIloilo, Kada Lunes nga Lihok Kontra Lamok, emphasizing the impact of a clean environment on dengue prevention.
Barbara Sontillano of the Iloilo Provincial Health Office (PHO) presented the recorded dengue cases in the province. She reiterated the importance of #LimpyoIloilo as a response and mitigating measure to the surge of dengue cases in the province.
Ms. Catherine Chua of Tetra Pak Philippines discussed the company's objectives, focusing on its role in innovating sustainable packaging technologies. The members of the board expressed their interest for a possible partnership.
The meeting concluded with a clear outline of ways forward and adjournment.
