IPG Pride, in collaboration with the PPDO GAD Unit, AIPGE, and IPEMPC, organized a Forum on SOGIE-SC and the Safe Spaces Act to celebrate Pride Month on June 21 at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.

This landmark celebration marks the first-ever pride event hosted by the Iloilo Provincial Government and was graced by the presence of notable figures including Vice Governor Christine Garin, Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias, IPG Pride Interim President Jose Palmon, various stakeholders, and government employees.

Dr. Banias delivered an inspiring message on behalf of Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., emphasizing the government's commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all and advocating strongly for gender equality.

The forum featured Professor Justin Francis Castro Bionat, an Associate Professor at the University of San Agustin - College of Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Education, who provided insightful discussions on the SOGIE-SC and Safe Spaces Act, sharing his extensive knowledge on these important topics.

The event successfully highlighted the importance of inclusivity and the ongoing efforts towards gender equality within the province, setting a precedent for future initiatives.
