Two schools in Dumangas, Iloilo have received funding from the Iloilo Provincial Government for the installation of a Photovoltaic Solar Power System (Hybrid On/Off Grid).
Earlier today, Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. released checks amounting to P1.4 million for Dumangas Central Elementary School and P1.5 million for Purificacion Dolar Monfort National Science High School.
Barangay officials from Barangay Baras and P.D. Monfort South received the checks on behalf of the schools, as the funding was coursed through the barangays where the institutions are located.
The financial assistance was sourced from the province's Special Education Fund (SEF).
