The Iloilo Provincial Government, through the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO - Province of Iloilo), gave ₱10,000 financial aid each to 37 repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), most of whom came from the Middle East.
The distribution was led by Provincial Administrator Raul Banias together with Provincial PESO Head Cynthia P. Dario.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Annabel Estana, one of the repatriated OFWs, thanked the Iloilo Provincial Government for its quick response, which helped them return home safely and receive financial assistance.
"Nagapasalamat gid kami nga mga gin-repatriate nga nabuligan kami sang daku kag nakapuli kami dayon sa amon nga mga kabanwahanan," she said.
The financial aid will help the repatriated OFWs as they start over and support their needs after returning home.
