Twenty-four beneficiaries from the municipalities of Banate, San Miguel, Alimodian, Tubungan, Lemery, and San Dionisio received P12,100 each during the payout for the Provincial Internship Program (PIP) and the Short-Term Employment Program (STEP) of the Iloilo Provincial Government.
The payout was led by Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias on behalf of the Iloilo Provincial Government.
The Provincial Internship Program (PIP) provides qualified youth with a 55-day paid internship in local government offices. Beneficiaries receive a daily stipend of ₱550, with payouts facilitated through the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
Meanwhile, the Short-Term Employment Program (STEP) gives students and out-of-school youth the opportunity to gain practical work experience through temporary assignments in local government offices while earning compensation.
Through PIP and STEP, the Iloilo Provincial Government continues to provide young Ilonggos with opportunities to gain valuable work experience, develop their skills, and earn an income while serving their communities.
