Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. turned over two checks to the beneficiaries of the Provincial Livelihood Project Fund (PLPF), a program that provides soft loans to accredited cooperatives.

An amount of P1 million was extended to the San Miguel Local Government Unit Multi-Purpose Cooperative. It was received by Herlinia S. Satore, chairperson; Melende M. Pugales, manager; and  Ma. Fe G. Quicoy, treasurer.

The Carles Consumers Cooperative received P600,000. The check was received by Roberto F. Billones, chairperson; and Rogelio Pogoy, treasurer.

Provincial Cooperatives Development Office chief Atty. Arturo Cangrejo and Ms. Freda Fajardo of the Governor’s Office and a former Sangguniang Bayan Member of San Miguel assisted the governor during the distribution on March 13, 2024.
