Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. along with the Provincial Cooperatives Development Office Iloilo (PCDO), handed over a Php 5-million check to the Guimbal Development Cooperative (GDC) as part of the Mangunguma Sapnayon Palay Price Support Program.

The funding aims to empower local farmers by stabilizing palay prices and enhancing the cooperative’s trading capacity.

GDC, which has members across Iloilo Province, actively engages in palay trading, ensuring better market access and higher earnings for small-scale farmers.

The Chairperson, Manager, and Treasurer of GDC received financial assistance on behalf of the cooperative.
