Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. awarded a P10,000 cash incentive to Ilongga board exam topnotcher Danica Joyce Hernrose Sardoma for placing ninth in the February 2026 Respiratory Therapists Computer-Based Licensure Examination.
Sardoma, who graduated from Central Philippine University with a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy degree, earned a 90.50-percent rating in the examination.
The incentive was given under Provincial Ordinance No. 2023-295, which grants cash rewards to Iloilo Province residents who place in the top ranks of licensure and national examinations.
Under the ordinance, physician licensure and bar examination topnotchers receive P40,000 for Top 1, P20,000 for Top 2 to 5, and P15,000 for Top 6 to 10 placers. For other Professional Regulation Commission and national licensure examinations, incentives range from P20,000 for Top 1, P15,000 for Top 2 to 5, and P10,000 for Top 6 to 10 finishers.
To qualify, recipients must have been residents and registered voters of Iloilo Province for at least six months before taking the examination.
