Iloilo Hospitals Earn Top National Honors For Safe And Green Healthcare

ILOILO HOSPITALS EARN TOP NATIONAL HONORS FOR SAFE AND GREEN HEALTHCARE

Iloilo Provincial Government district hospitals once again proved their excellence after earning top distinctions in the 2025 Green and Safe Health Facilities Awards, a national recognition program of the Department of Health (DOH) that highlights hospitals committed to environmental stewardship, patient safety, and resilient health systems.

The DOH awarded 5-Star Ratings, the highest level of recognition, to five Iloilo provincial hospitals:

• Iloilo Provincial Hospital - IPH
• Aleosan District Hospital
• Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Memorial District Hospital (DRSPSMDH, Calinog)
• Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital
• Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial Hospital

These facilities showed outstanding performance in key areas such as proper waste management, disaster preparedness, clean energy initiatives, sanitation systems, and patient safety protocols.

Seven more district hospitals received 4-Star Ratings, reflecting their strong performance and continuous improvements:

• Jesus M. Colmenares District Hospital
• SARA District hospital
• Governor Niel D. Tupas Sr. District Hospital
• Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital
• Don Valerio Palmares Sr. Memorial District Hospital
• Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital
• Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital

These hospitals have consistently upgraded their systems, reflecting the provincial government’s push to raise the quality of public healthcare across all districts.

The strong showing of Iloilo hospitals reflects the Iloilo Provincial Government’s sustained investments in modernizing public health facilities, raising safety standards, and ensuring that Ilonggos receive care in environments that are clean, disaster-ready, and responsive to patient needs.
