The Iloilo Provincial Government formally welcomed the delegation of interns from HAN University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands during the regular flag ceremony on Monday, March 2, 2026.
The internship program aims to help the students gain practical experience through a structured Program Course Design, designated activities, and the execution of a Participatory Action Research (PAR) project that aligns with the students' study requirements.
To maximize the impact of their stay, the interns have been assigned to offices that handle the province's social and economic functions. They are currently deployed at the Iloilo Sports Development and Management Office, Human Resource Management and Development Office, Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) Center, and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
This internship engagement was coordinated and mediated by the Philippine Knowledge and Activity Center in The Netherlands with the statutory name Foundation Filippijnengroep Nederland (FGN), a civil society organization (CSO) that has facilitated the internship of HAN University students in the Philippines for over 22 years across the country, in partnership with the International People Exchange (IPE).
They will be exploring the Iloilo provincial government operations for 15 weeks, from mid-February until June 2026.
