The 2026 Boy and Girl Officials of the Province of Iloilo were officially named as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan celebration spearheaded by the Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan (PPSK)-Iloilo.
Leading this year's roster of youth leaders is Roniel John R. Figueroa of Alimodian National Comprehensive High School, who was chosen as the Boy Governor.
He will lead the 15 selected student officials who will serve as counterparts of Iloilo provincial government officials for three days.
The Boy and Girl Officials Program gathered student applicants from various schools across the province, giving them the opportunity to undergo a selection process for the 15 leadership positions. Through the program, the selected students will gain firsthand experience in local governance by observing government operations, participating in official activities, and learning the roles and responsibilities of public servants.
The initiative is one of the highlights of the Linggo ng Kabataan celebration, providing young Ilonggos with meaningful exposure to public service while encouraging them to become active partners in governance and future leaders of the province.
