The provincial government, through the Iloilo Provincial Agriculture Office, continues to bring aquaculture support closer to our communities.
On April 29, 2026, a total of 100,000 tilapia fingerlings were successfully distributed at the IFAPTC - ART Center in Nanga, Pototan, Iloilo, providing both LGUs and individual fish farmers with vital input and technical assistance.
Here is the breakdown of the beneficiaries for this batch:
*LGUs
• Municipality of Banate – 50,000 pcs (allocated for the BaSIL program)
• Municipality of New Lucena – 26,000 pcs
• Municipality of Dingle – 12,000 pcs
*3 Individual Farmer Beneficiaries: 12,000 pcs
As of April 30, the Office has dispersed a total of 473,500 pieces of tilapia fingerlings for this year.
