Housing beneficiaries in Barangay Nangka, Batad are now growing their own vegetables through the MoRProGRes Garden Livelihood Project initiated by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in partnership with the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist of LGU-Batad and the Barangay Officials.
As part of the initiative, the beneficiaries also participated in a Container Gardening Training that equipped them with practical knowledge and skills to establish and maintain backyard gardens even in limited spaces.
This livelihood intervention forms part of the resettlement strategy under the Purok Resilience Program, which seeks to create self-reliant households by promoting food security and community well-being.
