Capitol Partners With PCIC To Aid Farmers Affected By El Niño
The Iloilo Provincial Government has partnered with the Philippine Crops Insurance Corporation (PCIC) to help farmers and fisherfolks affected by the El Niño phenomenon.
This morning, Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. with Provincial Agriculture Office head Dr. Ildefonso Toledo turned over a check worth PhP 15 million to PCIC, led by its president Atty. Jovy Bernabe, as initial funding for the project dubbed SIGURADO or Sustainable Insurance from the Government for Upscaling and Revitalizing the Agri-fisheries Developments and Opportunities.
